In my kitchen this month… there are strawberries. Lots of strawberries. I bought a 500g punnet on Monday and yesterday I returned to the shops for one thing and somehow this punnet came home with me too. Yes I have eaten 1kg of strawberries in 5 days. They are so deliciously sweet I can’t resist.
In my kitchen is a bake and serve cake tin. Have you ever seen anything more ingenious? It’s one of those things you think ‘why didn’t I think of this?’
It’s for all those cakes that you make that you’re too scared to take them off the bottom of the tin (hello cheesecake) and end up serving them on it. You can serve it on a pretty clear glass plate instead straight from the oven. Plus the base doesn’t have any little crevices so it’s really easy to clean.
In my kitchen are a selection of colourful spatulas, a gift from my wonderful mum. Thanks mum! I love cooking with pretty things.
In my kitchen are some pretty new condiment bowls. I admired these in Wheel & Barrow a few weeks ago so when I still loved them last week, I knew I had to have them. They’re perfect for little dips, olives, oil… oh the possibilities (no I’m not just trying to justify buying them).
In my kitchen is a new Kitchenaid food processor. After having one one loan to play with for a month I decided I really did want one and would get lots of use out of it so put my savings to good use. I just set it up yesterday so will have to think carefully about what to christen it with.
That wraps up my kitchen tour this month, it was just a quick one. What about you? What’s in your kitchen this month?

Claire, I love those little condiment bowls, they’re so cute! And isn’t that Masterclass brand of bakeware great? I use their springform tins and they work brilliantly. The strawberries look luscious too – not surprising that you’ve eaten so many! Thanks for sharing your kitchen with us this month!
Thanks Celia so do I. I’m so glad I went back for them. Thank you for starting the trend!
I love the cake pan! What a great idea! Thanks for letting me peek into your kitchen this month, it looks like a fun place to be!
Isn’t it Linda?! I can’t wait to use it.
Hi Claire, I love the food processor. As you know, my Breville Kitchen Whiz blew up a week or so ago and I am on the hunt for a new one. I’ve seen the Kitchen Aid and am thinking it would make a more than suitable replacement – looks great! xx
That sounds like a good plan to me Charlie! x
What cute little bowls! Dishes can be so much fun. I agree with you in saying you like to cook with pretty things. Why not?
You are going to love your Kitchenaid!
Exactly Pamela… why not! I can’t wait to start using the processor.
Hi Claire!
I love your orange and white condiment bowls. So cute, you almost don’t want to put anything in them! I like your colorful spatulas too. You can never have too many of those, right? Have fun with your new food processor
Yes that’s a tough one Emilie. You won’t be able to see the pretty design. Maybe clear condiments only. Thanks!
I love your spatulas, they are my favourite colours.
Thanks Glenda
I like that cake pan too! Very clever. Strawberries are everywhere now and today is strawberry rhubarb tart day. At least it is at my house.
I loved the peek into your kitchen!
Strawberry and rhubarb tart day sounds like my kind of day!
Great post!
I would also like that pan- what a great idea for cheesecakes!
And the colorful spatulas and bowls- it must be a delight to work in your kitchen.
Thanks for sharing!
Good idea Heidi it would be perfect for cheesecakes!
Love all the goodies in your kitchen. Where are the strawberries grown? Love the colours of your spatulas!
I’m not sure exactly Lizzy but they’re from Queensland. I’m trying to convince Will we should go strawberry picking next weekend.
Oooh strawberries – I am very keen to see what you cook with them this month for our Berry Nice to Meet You bloghop, Claire!
Me too Christina. I’ll have to get thinking.
