Mint chocolate chip gelato
Look inside your pantry and if you’re anything like me you’ll find at least one product from Queen Fine Foods. I always have vanilla extract at the very least along with a few food colourings, some glucose syrup and an array of essences.
I few months ago, I was invited to work with them on their very exciting new product. With my love of all things Italian, I was seriously excited to be involved.
What is this super-exciting product I hear you ask? Well let me tell you…
It is my first forage into the on-screen world. I still find it very embarrassing and hard to watch but exciting at the same time. I think I managed to cover my teeth-chattering nerves reasonably well.
In case you couldn’t view the video, Queen has just launched a brand new product – Queen Make at Home Gelato and Sorbet. It’s a pre-mix that comes in a powdered form and you add milk or water, chill it, then pop it in your ice-cream maker. Half an hour later (give or take) you have thick, creamy, delicious gelato. It’s the same mixture and method a lot of gelato shops use.
Raspberry and white chocolate
After you’ve mastered the base flavours you can go crazy mixing up the recipe. I’ve made some pretty tasty combos already. Right now you can get it at Woolies (sorry overseas readers). If you try it out please let me know!
There’s more info and lots of recipes on the website or you can check out (and like, pretty please!!!) the Facebook page.
What about you? What’s your favourite gelato flavour?

This post wasn’t sponsored by Queen just my excitement over my latest venture.

Claire, this is so……… fun – I feel like I know you a hundred times better seeing you in person. I love this! You did a wonderful job!
Aww thanks Chris! Now you have to make a video so I can see you!
ps I feel like I know a celebrity!
haha why yes of course. My sister calls me the gelato queen.
Wow. How exciting. You did so well. Unbelievable that that’s your first foray onto the silver screen. Lovely kitchen (so clean and tidy) and your gelato looks amazing too. I’m saving up for an ice cream maker and hoping (if my saving won’t stretch) that I’ll be given one for Christmas xx
Thanks Charlie! It’s not my kitchen sadly. I had kitchen envy all day when we were shooting! Well when you do you know what to start with x

what a great job of hiding your nerves. Both you and ‘Not Quire Nigella’ are famous now. hehe
oops…… I meant you and “Not Quite Nigella” (spelling mistakes sorry)…..see I get all nervous around celebrities lol
Hahahaha oh you’re funny Corrie!
Thanks Corrie!
I love it!! You little cutie you!
I always wondered why ice cream mix wasn’t available in Australia like it is in the states. Sometimes you just don’t want to crack the eggs and wait.
I’m on my way to Woolies now and I’ll pick up a box if it’s up here yet.
I didn’t know you could buy it like this in America. Such a great idea. I hope you find some!
Wow, that’s so cool, Claire! Awesome that you were asked to be involved. One for the to try list cause my ice cream is never as creamy as I would like it to be.
Thanks Jo! Definitely give it a go. I made one with Milo yesterday and it was so good!
Awesome job Claire! You’re a natural on camera!!
Haha thanks Corrie!
Thanks Lorraine!
OMG OMG OMG you’re a teevee chef! How exciting!
Now I *really* can’t wait to meet you and get your autograph! Do you visit the Coast often?
Hahaha Katie!
We come up every couple of weeks so next time I’m up I’ll let you know. Looking forward to meeting you!
OMG this is fantastic! Congratulations Claire!!!!
