Lush Delights – Indian butter chicken curry paste

Butter chicken using Lush Delights curry paste

Butter chicken would have to be my favourite Indian curry. The best butter chicken that I’ve ever eaten is at our local Indian restaurant Sitar. I’m sure the secret is lashing of butter and ghee. I’m ok with eating it sometimes but not if I can actually see it going into the food. I’ve had many many attempts at a home-made butter chicken over the years. The best from scratch would have to be the slow-cooker butter chicken but since then I have tried  Lush Delights curry paste and I have to say, I think it’s my favourite. Lush Delights makes a whole range of Thai and Indian curry pastes. They are all natural and gluten free and although I’ve only tried two of them, they’re the best curry paste’s I’ve ever used.

I bought mine on my first, but definitely not my last trip to Sourced Grocer last weekend. It’s a new cafe/shop in New Farm in Brisbane. I just wrote a review of it over on On The Menu. Lush Delights are sold at specialty stores through their website and I’ve also seen them at a few Farmer’s Markets.

Made on the Sunshine Coast, their curry pastes are easy to prepare and can also be used as a marinade for meat or vegetables. So next time you’re in the mood for Indian or Thai at home, try out Lush Delights curry pastes.

Oh my gosh, what have you done to my diet???? I must now race out to the local Indian supermarket to buy some butter chicken curry paste… Since no one is at my home for a few days I’ll have to eat the whole pot of chicken!!!

Love the creamy look of it. Butter chicken’s one of my faves too. Throw in some garlic naan and Im a happy camper :)

Yes and I used light cream so it wasn’t all that bad. We had some of my home made naan but when we go out I love the spinach naan. I could eat it with a big bowl of butter chicken sauce.

I love butter chicken curry too. I haven’t tried those spice mixes before but I’ll look out for them here in Sydney. Your curry looks amazing.
