Our engagment cake
We had a very special occasion on Saturday night – our engagement party! We celebrated the night at Manx restaurant at Portside. It was a wonderful night with family and friends and fabulous food and drinks. My only complaint was that it went way too fast.
The 'cak'
We couldn’t have had such a special occasion without a cake of course. The colour theme was a little introduction to the wedding colours. The cake was a chocolate mudcake with butter cream icing.

I attempted to replicate the hydrangea cake for the top cake and roses for the cupcakes.
Engagement cake

The colours are great. I was going to go with greens for my wedding but ended up with blue and grey.
Ooh blue and grey look lovely together! Thank you. It took me quite a few to get it right but I loved them once I got the hang of it.
What a great cake. (I have to say i LOVE the color you choose) It turned out lovely. No special cakes for me lately, I’ll just have to admire yours.
Thank you! It took quite a bit of green gel to get it to that colour but I loved the end result.

That’s what everyone is saying. It’s made my decision on having a videographer though… definite yes or we might not believe it all happened.
